One thing then led to another. You cannot rescue animals without seeing God do things … he favors them … he is a Shepherd. At one point, God made a move in my life that was just too obvious to be coincidence. He restructured a friendship that had been an accepted part of my “designer religion” and had very likely been interfering with my marriage.  Sometime after that, I suggested to my wife that we should begin attending church.  She agreed and a Google search identified a candidate church to visit.

As we settled in, my prayer life became excellent, in fact, I thought that prayer might be what I was being called to do to support the church.  Satan had other ideas. At Christmas, 2018, he attacked with surprising force.  I had been thinking about how I might describe my religious experience to a workmate who was an atheist. I needed to present a reasoned approach to what I believed and what I was experiencing.  Somehow, in the process, I began to see things from the atheist’s point of view. That is when I turned to the “reading list” (find the reading list in this site’s main menu) and started digging my way out of this newfound disbelief.
