Believe!
Let’s take a quick look at bit more of the Old Testament…
The world population expanded, and with it, the influence of both God and Satan. As we can clearly see today, the population quickly divided itself into two camps. Those who attempt to follow the God (and point others to Him) and those who would simply following their sinful, fallen, human nature; “going with the flow,” and coming under the influence of Satan. It is interesting to note that the relative size of these two groups has always followed a consistent pattern, from antiquity, right up through modern times. The majority ignored God, with only a small minority choosing to follow Him. Society today largely follows the world’s leanings, while the number of believing, committed and practicing Christians is relatively small. The New Testament author, Matthew, documents this pattern in Matthew chapter 7, verses 13 and 14, I will quote them here from the familiar King James Bible “… Wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat … (alternatively) … Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.
To assess the state of our society today, all you need do is turn on your Television or open a newspaper. I am sure you will agree that there still exists a large disparity between those who follow sinful, dark ideas and those whose lives are committed to the following the Christian’s Jesus.
